Week 7- 4/1-4/7

4/2-
Quick reflection: We made it guys home stretch. It has been nice knowing you... or not. We finished editing the video and made a couple changes. The main change we made was the placement of my part. For example, we originally had it in the middle after Connor looks up at his phone and then watches my part and then leaves the premises. After seeing that, it did nit flow properly and there was a gap with the music because my music which is hard rap looked odd playing while Connor gets back up and leaves. Instead we have it at the end with a transition effect so its like the viewer sees Connor getting upset and then wonders what happens and then boom there it is. From start to finish you know I would say it was a success. The time management and planning was good, that is an under rated factor I really didn't think of till now. Unlike the music video we didn't have to rush or say a miracle at the last night that everything turns out fine. I leaned how to edit on iMovie and overall pushed my patience level and creative capabilities. I hope you liked what we put out! regardless at the end of the day Connor and I worked our butt of and we can hold our heads up high knowing so.

Part 3- rough draft of CCR.

How did my editing skills develop throughout the project.
Well, going into the project editing was my biggest weakness. Litterly didn't know how to turn off a monotone on garage band.  I had the least amount of expierence in this. I was worried I would have to learn a whole new software and whole new concept. Instead it was the opposite. Looking back at it now, using iMovie was the best decision of the whole project. I didn't need a fancy camera or fancy software, all I needed was my phone. (and Connors lol) Everything was user friendly, I was a little intimidated at first, for the Og drafts of my part Connor did the sound mixing and had a better feel for it then me. Today (last day of editing) I was able to actually add Connors music and adjust the timing of it, two things I couldn't tell you I had a clue of two weeks ago. Also, for my part I went out and applied the feedback from the group meetings and went in and added a dark blue filter of my part. At first I was worried we would have to re shoot but after ramming around buttons and exploring there was already a user friendly filter button ready to go. I feel confident on iMovie, something I wasn't before. If I had to edit a new film over again on my own, I am proud to say I can look you in the eye and tell you I can.

#4 How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

Technologies were mostly integrated into the music aspect of the production. It was a process first we had to go on youtube and make sure everything. was non copyrighted, then we would screen record the video on youtube into our phones camera roll. From there, we went to Imovie and uploaded the screen recording as a audio so you wouldn't see it but you can hear it. We repeated this process several times to get the right timing and tempo down of the song. Everything was  recorded on my Connnors phone camera, the iPhone X which has a dual 12 mega pixel camera and then uploaded onto his camera roll, sent to mine, saved in iCloud, then uploaded to my phones iMovie. We also used google slides to make our title "Rouge" We took a blank canvas and created the title, screen shoting it, flipping it to horizontal and then what do you know uploaded to the project. Thats how we did it and thats how we got here. Overall this process was a good one, I learned a lot... final recap
